Job Overview
As the Maître, you will be the frontman of our onboard dining experience. This highly operational role requires a dynamic leader with a passion for hospitality, exceptional leadership skills, and a flair for creating unforgettable guest experiences. As the Maître, you will be at the helm of our food and beverage team, ensuring every guest enjoys impeccable service and a seamless dining experience.

Leadership and Team Management:
Lead and inspire the food and beverage team to deliver exceptional service and uphold the train’s standards of excellence.
Recruit, train, and develop staff to ensure a highly skilled and motivated team.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and continuous improvement.
Set performance expectations and conduct regular performance evaluations.

Operational Excellence:
Oversee day-to-day food and beverage operations, including restaurant, bars and cabin services.
Coordinate the restaurant and bar to ensure an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
Implement and enforce health and safety standards to ensure a safe and hygienic working environment.

Guest Satisfaction:
Act as the primary point of contact for guests in the restaurant, providing a warm welcome and attentive service.
Ensure guests have the correct dining arrangements, accommodating special requests and dietary needs with ease.
Enhance the dining experience by engaging with guests, addressing their needs, and ensuring their satisfaction.

Problem Solving:
Quickly address and resolve any issues or complaints, turning challenges into opportunities for positive guest experiences.
Adapt to the dynamic environment of luxury train travel, maintaining poise and professionalism at all times.

Experience & certifications:
Proven experience in a similar role within the luxury hospitality industry.
In-depth knowledge of food and beverage operations, including menu planning and costing.
Familiarity with industry trends, customer preferences, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or a related field is preferred.

Strong leadership and team management skills.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in multiple languages is a plus.
Availability to work on shifts and on weekends.
