Room Mate Hotels – The Supervisor Reservations Groups & Events increases mainly from the Office the turnover by (support) market research/and acquisition (outbound) within the defined target groups. The target group is business accounts for Events, Corporate Groups and Individual as well as private requests. He/she handles requests, advises potential customers about (im)possibilities and cost, set quotes on and monitors the follow-up. In addition, he/she coordinates the preparation and carries the booking over to concerned departments/officials. He/she also coaches the individual and groups reservations.

When handling requests prepare an inventory of needs, doing suggestions on the implementation within the budgetary possibilities;
Gathering information about possible target groups on the basis of public information;
Preparation of tenders and fixing of agreed arrangements for requests;
Inform (executive) departments on appointments and details;
Monitoring of the follow-up of outstanding quotations (or reservations department);
Resolve problems and complaints before and after the realization of the request;
Call of needed services/facilities and making operational arrangements with third parties in contract conditions;
Capture contacts, visits, visit results etc. and keeping a file with relationships/contacts;
Select/detect potential relationships/accounts by itself and/or by employees collected information, data, etc;
Keep track of information about services and facilities-supplying organisations;
Welcome potential relations/accounts in the hotel and provide site inspections;
Arrange after sales, keep in touch with the client;
To be informed of the developments at the clients/accounts, monitor an active exchange of information internally;
Participate in departmental meetings;
Identify opportunities and threats for the short and medium-long term and advise management on this matter;
The preparation of periodic and ad hoc reports and giving insight into developments and details on behalf of adjustment policy/budget:

Previous experience
at least two years in events/reservations as account manager or other relevant experience.

Computer programme
– Opera (PMS & S&C);
– Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Access;
– Mice (national & international) online sales tools (Cvent/Starcite etc).

Candidate profile

Hotel Management School or equivalent.

Italian, English and preferably a third language.

– willing to work in the weekends and evenings (occassionally);
– attend client Events.

Location: Rome.
