Sous Chef

Sikelia Luxury Retreat is an exclusive 5*L boutique hotel in Pantelleria, where luxury and charm alternate with balance and elegance, respecting contemporary harmony and exotic surroundings.
For the summer season 2025 we are looking for:
• Sous Chef
Main duties & responsibilities:
• Manage all kitchen operations, keeping the high standards of quality and presentation of the final dishes
• Work closely with the Executive Chef to develop innovative menus that enhance local and seasonal products.
• Ensure the high level of the preparation and service of dishes, keeping the HACCP hygiene standards and the safety regulations, according to the guidelines of the Executive Chef
• In absence of the Executive Chef, be the supervisor of the whole kitchen staff, supporting them in a relaxed work environment
Specific knowledge and training
• Solid experience as a Chef, better if in luxury Hotels
• In-depth knowledge of both local Italian and international cuisine, with a strong passion for culinary innovation
• Creativity and attention to detail
• Excellent time management, and organizational skills
• Knowledge of health, safety, and hygiene regulations, specifically applied to the Hospitality industry
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work together with other hotel departments
• Fluent in Italian and English. French or a third language is a plus
• Willingness to relocate to the work location for the whole duration of the season
