If you would like to be part of such unique environment, we are looking for an outstanding and super skilled Sommelier for the gourmet restaurant La Rocca.

 

Main duties and responsibilities

 

•       Ensure that the wine list is constantly updated

•       Demonstrate excellent food and wine knowledge, being able to recommend and pair appropriate wines for the chosen food to all guests

•       Ensure that adequate processes and systems are in place to ensure both revenues and profit margins according to budget projections

•       Manage all duties relating to orders, requests and returns of unusable drinks, maintaining sufficient stock levels

•       Be aware of quality and cost control by collaborating with the Purchasing & Logistics Manager

•       Ensure all drinks are stored safely

•       Organize the cellar and all related paperwork efficiently to ensure complete monthly inventories

•       Collaborate with the kitchen team to share information and ensure a harmonious relationship between the kitchen and dining teams

•       Attend all required hotel and internal meetings as per established schedule

 

 

Requirements

·        3 to 5 years’ working experience in a similar position and in Michelin restaurants or within the luxury hospitality industry

·        Hospitality degree, or equivalent, appreciated

·        Must be fluent in Italian with and English. A third European language would represent and advantage

·        Excellent communication skills in all aspects: verbal, written and non-verbal

·        Sommelier diploma and excellent knowledge of the national and international wine scene;

·        Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays

·        Must be able to relate to guests

·        Excellent attention to detail and a solid knowledge of Food & Beverage

This position is based in (FI), Tuscany, Italy.  Availability of staff accommodation upon request. Candidates should have a flexible schedule with the ability to work all shifts, weekends and holidays.
