JOB TITLE : Reservations Manager

DEPARTMENT: Reservations & Revenue

REPORTS TO: Director of Sales & Marketing / Director of Revenue

Scope of the role

The incumbent of this position is responsible for the efficient functioning of the Reservations department

Main responsibilities

●     Ensuring that all incoming enquiries are handled within a maximum of 24 hours

●     Working with the Revenue Director to update the PMS codes and setup when necessary

●     Assisting the sales and events managers in effectively dealing with all commission and accounts queries

●     Ensuring all necessary billing instructions are applied to reservations

●     Making sure that the team is fully informed of all rates, including negotiated and promotional rates, and that any new promotions and packages are communicated effectively to all relevant departments

●     Ensuring that the team answers all incoming telephone enquiries in a timely and professional manner

●     Identifying and assisting with the training needs of team members

●     Liaising with the Sales team to resolve any issues, and handle site inspections and office visits’ information in the PMS Opera system

●     Ensuring that all VIP and special requests information is efficiently saved in the PMS Opera system

 Qualifications

●     Deep knowledge of Opera PMS

●     At least 2 years of previous experience in the hospitality business (luxury field is preferred)

●     Excellent proficiency in Italian and English language, both written and spoken.

●     Ensures high standards of personal presentation and grooming

●     Sales and guest relations skills
