JOB TITLE: Pizzaiolo / Demi Chef de Partie Bakery
DEPARTMENT: Kitchen
REPORTS TO: Executive Sous Chef / Executive Chef
We are looking for a Pizzaiolo / Demi chef de Partie Bakery to join our Kitchen Team and make delicious pizzas based on traditional and modern recipes.
Profile
Work experience as Pizzaiolo / Demi Chef de Partie Bakery or similar role in a restaurant or luxury hotel
Hands-on experience with preparing and baking pizza doughs
Familiarity with professional kitchen equipement and brick/stone/electric oven
Understanding of food hygiene
Good time management skills
Team spirit
Diploma from a culinary school / Hotel Technical Institute / Professional Technical Institute
Eligible for a working permit in Italy
Ability to work and communicate in a multinational environment:
Italian – good oral and written skill
English – good oral and written skills
Overall Objectives
Preparing pizza dough, slicing and chopping toppings like vegetables and meats and executing guests’ orders considering special requests. To be succesful in this role, you shpulòd have experience with vaious pizza types an be availabòe to work duing business hours. You will help to increase guests’ satisfaction by preparing high-quality pizzas.
Main Responsabilites
Prepare pizzas out of our menu and based on guests’ orders
Bake a wide variety of pizza doughts, including thin crust, thick crust and cheese-stuffed
Make fresh tomato, pesto and white cream sauces
Wash and chop vegetables (such as tomatoes, peppers, onions, mushrooms, ectCut, slice and grill meats like chicken, ham and beef
Monitor food stock and place orders as needed
Use traditional and non traditional ingredients to appeal a larger audience (such as vegan, cheese and gluten free flour)
Cook appetizers, like mozzarella sticks, pizza bites, garlic bread, salads ect
Recommend new recipes to update our menus
Maintain a clean cooking station and sterilize equipment
Work with Superior and Human Resource Manager to ensure the departmental performance of staff is productive.
Recycle where-ever possible and enforce cost saving measures to staff.
Log security incidents and accidents in accordance with hotel requirements.
