Maître d’Hôtel Restaurant (m/w)

The Gstaad Palace with 90 rooms and suites, 5 restaurants, 2 bars and a legendary nightclub is an internationally renowned 5-star luxury hotel. It is owned by the Scherz family and is one of the last traditional family-run Grand Hotels – a Swiss landmark.
From approx. mid-June 2025 or by arrangement we are looking for a
Maître d’Hôtel Restaurant (m/w)
in temporary employment (summer season 2025)
Your area of responsibility includes:
· Supporting the 1st Maître d’hôtel in the management and supervision of our restaurants
· Coordination of the service areas
· Consultation with the deputy restaurant manager
· Optimisation of service processes
· Sharing responsibility for the team
· Preparation work for the excellent service
· Guest service
· Variety in different service areas of our hotel
· Advice on the choice of food and suitable drinks
· Compliance with and implementation of service standard
Qualifications:
· Apprenticeship as a restaurant specialist EFZ or hotel management school
· Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
· You are a bright, well-groomed person who loves contact with our guests
· You enjoy working in a team
· You are flexible, resilient, conscientious, detail- and customer-orientated
· Have a good knowledge of French and English, knowledge of German is an advantage
