HR LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST

Main purpose:
The HR Learning & Development Specialist will help and support the delivery, the implementation, and the evaluation of corporate training & development programs to improve individual, teams, and organizational performance of Verdura Resort.
Reports to: HR Manager and in dotted line to Regional L&D Manager.

Main duties & responsibilities:
• Perform periodic and regular quality assessments and identify compliance issues, concerns, and deficiencies according to the agenda shared and agreed with HR Management.
• Deliver training courses and training on the job according to training calendar shared and agreed with Regional and local HR on the basis of training needs detected.
• Produce training materials for frontal in-house courses when necessary or required.
• Support line managers and trainers solve specific training problems, either on a one-to-one basis or in groups.
• Carry out all other reasonable requests in pursuit of continuous improvement.
• Ensure consistent compliance with operating standards and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain documents and records of all L&D activities.
• Investigate and ensure that operations staff are complying with the defined processes and guidelines established for each stage of the process.
• Other duties may be assigned.

• Personal development: Be open to and accept constructive feedback and use it to improve. Take on new learning opportunities willingly. Ongoing dialogue with Head of Department on own performance objectives.
• Business orientation: Understand how personal objectives impacts department and hotel targets. Be able to follow guidelines and priorities assigned by Head of the Department in order to achieve goals in a timely and satisfactory way. Perform his/her tasks with integrity.
• Technical Skills: Demonstrate technical competence and knowledge related to the role. Look for Guest’s feedback and use it to improve service. Be responsible for own actions and behaviours.
We require:
• Fluent in English and Italian, both verbal and written.
• Postgraduate qualifications or 2 years experience in a similar role.
• Previous working experience in hospitality is preferred.
• The candidate must have experience in delivering training material and understanding of different training methods and channels.
• Able to communicate ideas and instructions to staff at all levels in a clear and concise manner.
• Able to plan activities and respect deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Advanced or proficient level of Microsoft Office skills, Power Point and Excel in particular.
• Demonstrated an ability to learn fast on a job.
