Head Bartender – Pre – Opening

Your approach to the job will be inspired by your authentic style and self – always ready with care and attention, an unusual twist, a recipe that only you could give. You’ll know exactly who needs what and when, you’ll remember their names and you’ll use your creativity to deliver a fantastic bar experience every time.
In your role as Head Bartender, you’ll discuss and agree some key objectives with your line manager. These objectives are designed to support your department’s goals and priorities. You’ll also take responsibility for your own development, embracing training opportunities that we offer, while learning from any challenges and mistakes along the way.
How you do it:
- You’ll maintain the highest standard of service, ensuring both you and your team are compliant with our restaurant policies, brand standards, and performance expectations.
- You’ll supervise the bar team, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure exceptional service and product knowledge.
- You’ll stay informed about our food, drinks, and amenities, sharing that knowledge with your team and guests.
- You’ll oversee bar inventory, ensuring it is well-stocked and notifying the appropriate team members when supplies are low.
- You’ll lead regular team meetings and training sessions to foster a collaborative and high-performing bar environment.
- You’ll attend any meetings or training courses required by the Head of Department.
- You’ll follow guidance from your leadership team while adhering to PPHE’s standard operating procedures, including relevant health and safety guidelines.
What you bring:
- You’re a stickler for hygiene and safety standards in beverage preparation, making sure everyone’s adhering to our guidelines and conducting regular inspections of our bar areas to make sure we’re up to code.
- You’re a supportive team member,that will be motivating and helping your colleagues whenever necessary.
- You know how to care for furniture, fixtures and equipment within all areas and you report any malfunction for maintenance.
- You’re ready to assist with additional duties and task assigned by the Head of Department, to pitch in and carry out any depending on the needs of bar and restaurant.
There’s a lot more to this job than we’ve given you here – don’t worry, we’ll fill you in on everything before you begin. We might also add other similar responsibilities on a temporary or permanent basis, depending on the needs of art’otel.
