Borgo Pignano is delighted to share an opportunity for a talented and passionate FOOD&BEVERAGE MANAGER to join our team.
Borgo Pignano is a 750 acre private estate hidden away in the hills and valleys of Tuscany whose ethos is a commitment to slow food, slow living and sustainable organic farming. The estate offers two different dining concepts: Ristorante Al Fresco, which offers an informal and relaxed dining experience with a focus on local and artisanal products, and Villa Pignano. The restaurant has been awarded a Michelin Green star and offers a sophisticated menu based on 0 KM products.
We offer to successful candidates a dynamic and international environment in a strong and rapidly expanding company. In addition, the candidate will have accommodation meals and uniform.
The ideal candidate will have:
-to be in charge of running the food and beverage service department. One green Michelin star restaurant ( 40 covers) , one informal restaurant (60 people), breakfast, bars, pools and main once, private dining in villas along with private events;
-controls costs of beverage outlets by purchasing and managing stocks;
-maintaining adequate profit and loss controls and monitoring labour costs following demand patterns, budget;
-maximizes food and beverage sales by identifying and targeting sales opportunities through marketing and by training staff on “up-selling”;
-work together with the develop us as a sustainable property and environment;
-confirms that all service staff are in proper uniform and adhere to t standards;
-have an ‘open-door’- policy for your team members;
-evaluates and supervises performance and carries out disciplinary action as needed;
-offer support and work with the front of house team during peak service period.
-current or previous experience working as Food & Beverage Manager or as Food & Beverage Assistant Manager role in a Luxury property with a strong focus on customer service and quality;
-be courteous, professional and ready with a smile for team members and guests;
-team player and work hard to inspire and guide your team members to excellence;
– problem solver;
-highly organized person with strong planning skills;
-have a proven track record of successfully leading people;
-high-level customer service ambassador;
-strong communication skills and guest-oriented attitude;
-exceptional English and Italian communication skills; all other languages are very welcome;
-be legally allowed to work in Italy;
