Event Manager
We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Event Manager for Borgo Santo Pietro, an award-winning five-star luxury boutique hotel located in the heart of Tuscan countryside, surrounded by a 300-acre organic farm, vineyards and wonderful gardens.
The Event Manager will have outstanding interpersonal and relationship-building skills to work with cross-functional teams. He/she will have a special talent for ensuring an excellent level of service, a strong business acumen, passion for service, and desire to promote a continuous learning environment.
Main responsibilities:
- Manage all our private events, such as celebrations, weddings and other special seasonal events, including selling the whole property in exclusive.
- Handle all event inquiries: propose, follow up and contract, ensuring T&Cs and hotel policies are met.
- Negotiate dates, spaces and rates to reach sales goals, ensuring that the company vision and mission are respected.
- Encourage business through impeccable customer service.
- Manage email correspondences with travel agents, wedding planners or direct guests.
- Promote, organize and conduct site inspections.
- Coordinate all the departments involved in private events, including taking care of the ODS/BEO indicating all the details for the creation of the event; follow up the operational and logistic on-site needs when events take place.
- Manage the events in the company PMS system, including check of deposits, payments and final bill before final invoice is issued.
- Cooperate with marketing department to promote our events.
Candidate profile:
- At least 2 years of experience in similar role, preferably in luxury hotels.
- Knowledge of LHW high level standards.
- Knowledge of the F&B department and banqueting services.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Hotel PMS, OS, email.
- Excellent knowledge of English and Italian languages is required.
- Proactive attitude and excellent communication skill.
- Capability to deal with pressure and deadlines.
- Strong attention to details.
- Outstanding team-work orientation.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills.
