Groups & Events Coordinator
The Group & Event Coordinator prepares event documentation and coordinates with sales, hotel departments, and customer to ensure consistent, high level service throughout pre-event, event, and post event phases of hotel events. You will ensure all hotel events have a seamless turnover from sales to service and back to sales. You will also recognise opportunities to maximize revenue by up-selling and offering enhancements to create a better overall event. Serves as the event planner’s primary contact (following turnover) on property and is responsible for his/her experience.
For group, he/she processes all reservation requests, changes, and cancellations received by phone, fax, or mail. Identify guest reservation needs, determine appropriate room type, and verify availability of room type and rate. Explain guarantee, special rate, and cancellation policies to callers. Accommodate and document special requests. Answer questions about property facilities/services and room accommodations.
