Chief Engineer

Belmond is seeking a Chief Engineer for our luxury Hotels in Tuscany. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic leader with a passion for excellence and an unswerving approach to maintaining standards. The ideal candidate will take full control of all the maintenance and engineering required to safely and successfully set up and operate the Hotels.
About the role
Based in Tuscany and reporting to General Manager, you will be responsible for the Engineering Team, managing employees, contractors and support services in line with budget and operational standards. You will ensure the Hotels are maintained and operated in line with Belmond standards and participate in required projects and improvement programmes to roll out new functionality, procedures, scheduling and reports. With responsibility for the budget, supply chain, accurate forecasting and delivery of maintenance, and economy of all utilities and resources, you will need to have excellent planning, communication and strategy skills.
