Professor of Hospitality Facility Organisation in the Three-Year Degree Course in Tourism and Local Development at the Department of Sociology of the Milan State University (Bicocca).

From 2006 to 2011 general manager of the Business Hotels Division of Atahotels (14 hotels in Milan, Pero, Varese and Turin). During 2007 he also became responsible for Hotel Development and collaborated with the Group’s planning and construction companies. In this capacity, he was in charge of preliminary business plans for new projects and feasibility studies for the improvement of existing products, in close contact with the engineering teams, to contribute his knowledge of management requirements and operational functions in the industry. From July 2007, with the adoption of the dual governance model, he was Member of Atahotels S.p.A.’s Management Board.

General Manager of Hilton Milan from 1998 to 2006. In 2000, renovation work was completed for the 320 rooms, the first floor, entirely occupied by 10 meeting rooms, and the public and service areas. Already in 2000, Hilton Milan, with 189 employees, registered a mean room occupancy of over 77% and revenues for more than EUR 17 million.

These results earned him the Excellent Prize awarded by the magazine Master Meeting at the International Tourism Exhibition (BIT) 2001.

During the 90s, Dennis Zambon was the manager of Forte Crest in San Donato Milanese (now Crowne Plaza). After restructuring and extension work (to include 462 rooms), in 1993 the hotel was launched under the new brand Forte Crest, and shortly became the Milanese reference point for meetings and events, also by virtue of its tensile structure Il Teatro (more than 2,000 sqm), hosting high-profile events such as Calciomercato and the TV programme Il Processo di Biscardi. In 1996 Forte Crest was designated Hotel of the Year in Rimini, precisely because of its convention activity.

In the 70s and 80s, he had a long career in Cigahotels, becoming assistant manager of Principe di Savoia and the Palace Hotel in Milan. The experience culminated in the Company’s Marketing Direction, with responsibility for an innovative centralized booking project.

From 1998 to 2004, Dennis Zambon was Chairman of Gruppo Terziario Turistico of Assolombarda, a group representing hotels of large national and international companies operating in Milan, as well as prestigious independent hotels in the four and five-star categories. For three terms he was Member of the Observatory on Tourism of the Milan Chamber of Commerce, and Tavolo del Turismo of the Tourism and Large-Event Department of the City of Milan.
