WIPS (Worldwide Interactive Personnel Services)
is the successor company of Wermeille Intl. Placement
Services agency registered and licensed in Basel,
Switzerland.
WIPS was originally established in 1988 by Jean-Claude
Wermeille, as an agency placing candidates exclusively
in the hospitality industry worldwide (hotels, restaurants
and cruise ships), in order to meet the continuous
demand for qualified employees.
For more than 15 years, despite difficult times (Gulf
wars, crisis in Asia, war in Iraq, Sars virus) and
a generally unfavourable economic situation worldwide,
WIPS has operated very successfully in the field of
international placements.
Over the years, WIPS has expanded its services by
offering translations, employment consulting and a
personal profile analysis system, among others but
the international placement activities remain the
main core of WIPS business.
