NH Hotel Group needs to incorporate a Head Chef for the opening of the NH Collection Marseille located on the blue coast of France.
Reporting to the Hotel Director, the selected person will:
-Assure that guests receive a service adapted, when possible, to their preferences, needs, life styles, and forms of working and interacting and assure good relationship with them, acting as a representative of the Company;
-Design menus that include different products and options, adapted to guests’ preferences and needs;
-Make sure that the specific requirements of guests are correct and coordinate them with the F&B Manager / Responsible;
-Guarantee that guests feel accompanied at every moment, as well as identified with the gastronomy of the city of destination, by identifying and coordinating with the Hotel Director and F&B Manager / Responsible the offer of typical dishes of the city of destination and preparing a list of special dishes from the country/city;
-Ensure that NH Hotels is a reference of quality that exceeds the expectations of our guests and make them feel special through details and surprises, by accepting their suggestions, working hard to improve our service and demonstrating an excellent knowledge of guests who visit frequently, paying attention to their preferences and offering them these services during their next stay;
-Keep the kitchen always clean and in a good shape and ensure that quality standards for the F&B Department are met and even exceeded;
-Be a reference and an example for the F&B team, customizing the behavior and values of the brand, so that they are interiorized by each of our employees;
-Be present and visible for our guest and staff in moments where it matters, like lunch or dinner.
We are looking for a French and English speaking person, who has a Professional Training in Cooking or hotel management school, and at least 5 years’ experience as a Sous Chef or similar position, preferably in different hotels; international Hospitality experience will be appreciated.
The knowledge in management, cost control, pricing, legislation related to health and hygiene (HACCP) and general computer is required.
The ideal candidate is customer oriented, focused on details and results and ambitious to go beyond expectation, with team management, team work, communication and relationship skills.
Availability to work in shifts and on weekends is also required.
