Reports to Restaurant Manager.
Main duties & responsibilities:
•Providing an excellent and personalized guest experience according to our service standards while leading and coordinating the team;
•Maintain a professional relationship with guests and colleagues;
•Anticipate guests needs and handle guest complaints;
•Manage and develop staff in everyday operations according to our standard and procedures;
•Assist the Restaurant Manager on monitoring stock levels and alignment to the department financial objectives.
Effective communication: he/she communicates clearly and in an appropriate manner (both verbally and non-verbally) that positively impacts on their role, the business and Belmond. He/she uses and interprets non-verbal behaviours to enhance understanding. He/she regularly solicits input from the team, peers and external resources. He/she shares information across the business in a timely manner to inform better decisions.
Emotional intelligence: he/she takes on challenges in a confident manner and uses emotional skills to identify problems and resolve them. He/she seeks feedback about own performance to enhance self-awareness. He/she coaches the team to improve how their behaviours impact others.
Collaboration: he/she is a role model for teamwork, and proactively goes out of ones way to help others. He/she shares successes and credits with the team. He/she actively develops team members and hold themselves and others accountable.
Drive results: he/she sets clear goals and expectations and maximise resource allocation to achieve those. He/she measures, reports and communicates business results to the broader team including but not limited to financial, guest satisfaction and employee engagement results.
Adaptability: he/she demonstrates a forward thinking ability, whilst anticipating the implications and consequences of new information. He/she leads change programmes through the business and the team. He/she efficiently prioritises and handles multiple demands and tasks.
•Fluent in English and Italian;
•Professional knowledge of Italian cuisine and Italian & International wines;
•Professional experience preferably at an international level within the same role.
